MommyParties Picked Me To Host A Roman Town Party!

All of our great giveaways!!!

I was very happy to receive a HUGE box in the mail with all kinds of Roman Town Dig-It Games goodies inside!  We received 10 knit hats, 10 water bottles, and 10 coupons for free copies of the featured video game.  The box also included ideas for snacks and activities which I found to be very helpful.  The star of the show was the Roman Town educational video game which is considered "The Premier Archaeology Video Game For Kids."  To start off the party, I gave each child a bag to decorate which would later hold their free goodies from Roman Town.  I gave them a few ideas and their imaginations took over from there-they really enjoyed doing that!
We then went into the family room and divided the children in groups of two.  Working in pairs, the children each had a chance to explore the video game.  My husband connected the computer to the 52 inch tv, so it was super fun to explore on the big screen.  This allowed those in the group who were waiting for their turn an opportunity to watch what was going on as well.  The 8-year-olds in the group were able to use the game to its fullest, as they were able to read the text and follow the directions.  They especially enjoyed virtually "digging" for buried treasures with the "trowel."  The younger children enjoyed the "game feature" the best, particularly the game called "Calculi" which reminded me of a version of "Connect 4."  They couldn't get enough of that game!
After everyone had a turn or two with the video game, we had some snacks drank some "Fossil Juice", and packed our bags full with all the goodies from Roman Town.  The children really enjoyed the game and I believe this would be a perfect addition to anyone who is teaching children (8 and up) about archaeology.  Thanks to MommyParties and Roman Town for the opportunity to try this product!
